have ownedthis motorbike for over 16 years.  Back in January 2013 started project to restore it.  Full details and pictures of the rebuild canbe found on this thread:  http://www.cb1100f.net/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=69979. As you will see there has been no compromise.  Every component has beenrestored to as high finish as could achieve; have literally polishedevery washer and bolt and even polished the plastic parts bringingthem back to life.  The only area that is not as goodas had wanted is the paintwork; the red colour is slightly different onthe side panels to the tank which only becomes evident once it’spointed out, otherwise it would never be noticed.  The engine has been rebored to 985cc andfitted with brand new oversized piston kit. Check the detailing on the carbs in the rebuild thread; they have been completelystripped and overhauled.  The clutch cagehas brand new rubber bushes fitted which eliminates the annoying clutch rattleon these bikes.  One job left to do - slight oil leak at the tacho cable attachment on the rocker cover simple to fix but have now lost the will to do it.  So why am selling it? Strange as it may seem, having put so much effort into it, just don't want totake it out and get it dirty.  Yeah, weird huh, but you would haveto labour over a project like this to understand.  So feel itis better that someone else gets the joy of riding such beautiful machinethan have it stand in my garage unused.  Please note that am not open to offers or partexchange; if don't sell it for the asking price (or more if you are feeling generous!) so be it, I'llkeep it.  The asking price is the amount have spent on parts combinedwith the cost of the motorbike, so effectively my labour isfree.  Please note that the bike is not in concourse condition, e.g. theoriginal engine colour was black; the model is an F2D, the number referringto fairing that was fitted.  took it off because like the bikebetter without it, etc.  Best thing is come and have look – it’s worth it!  Advertised elsewhere so reserve the right to remove this advert prior to listing end if am offered the asking price.
