Now, this is good honest example of blackbird, whilebeing little bit special. bought it last year because my main bike was written off bya reversing van driver, and it seemed to be taking ages for me to get it back. Ithought I’d always wanted blackbird, so got this one. Anyway, got my bike backquite soon after getting the ‘bird and fixed it up easily. can’t justify (afford) two bikes and trust myself moreon my very pedestrian F800GS, so have to be sensible and let the blackbird go.I’ve done about 1000 miles on it. It has never let me downand I’ve had some fun on it. Very smooth and powerful engine (see below).It has only had previous owners and at 24k miles it ishardly broken in. Some of the highlights extras on this bike. - Quill exhaust (Powerflo T3’s end cans and interpipes. As well as the power increase, these have great sound and look thebusiness!). -Power Commander (mapped for the above exhausts)for higher peak output and smoother power delivery. - Alarm immobiliser.- Scottoiler- Rear chain hugger.- Crash bobbins- Double bubble screen- After market shock (bit too firm for my likingbut it can be adjusted). - Givi monorack (box not included, sorry). - New battery, fitted couple of months ago. 12 months MOT (Just passed, expires 4th April2020. Only advisories are that the front and rear pads will need replacing atsome point). It is now due its 24,000 mile service. In preparation forthis have bought top quality castrol oil and K&N filter, which are includedin the sale. It comes with two keys both for the bike and the alarm. Also included: Loads of old MOT which clearly verify the mileage. Original V5 document. Owners manual and service bookletHaynes manual This is genuine bike with some very nice extra features. Iwill say up front though this bike is now 20 years old so if you want showroomcondition in terms of panelwork, this is not the bike for you. The previous owner claimed it had never seen rain (and ithasn’t seen rain while I’ve had it either and it has been kept garaged), butthere are few scratches etc, which have done my best to take good picturesof. It’s not bad, and some of the imperfect areas could probablybe repaired or replaced quite cheaply, but the panel work is not mint.
