Honda CRM 250. think this is the Mk 2. have the V5 for it and that is showing 1st Jan 1993 as date of 1st registration. It has registration. My son bought it in 2009 and rode it for couple of years off road in South Devon and it has been sitting in corner of my garage ever since. He is now off travelling and would like it sold (by me of course). It never suffered any catastrophic failure, he just lost interest and had nowhere to keep it. The main running problem it had was tendency to dump stroke oil down through the carb when it was left standing. think that was fairly common failing with these and fixable with new oil seal. Otherwise, all know is it was running last time it was run. Obviously, as it's been sitting in garage for years or so, it will need some attention before it can be run again. The brakes have depressurised for example, and guess all the fluids will need draining and refilling, but I'm assuming anyone who takes it on will know all that. He put the number plate back on before it went in the garage so it wouldn't get lost. The rear light assembly is missing as it was only run off road. Looking at pics of other examples, they seem to have casing over the primary drive sprocket, and this one doesn't. Whether that was deliberate modification for off roading, don't know. One of the hand protectors has fracture in it (see pics). Otherwise, cosmetically, have not cleaned it up. It was just starting to get some surface rust on some of the metal parts and nuts and bolts etc which was another reason to move it on now. It's clearly had few scrapes and dings in its lifetime. The only other things have for it, not photographed, are the V5, one key and an unused spare spark plug.
At the moment it's not being advertised anywhere else so I'll just put it on ebay and see what sort of response it gets at this price these seem to have taken on certain cachet in the last few years and this seems reasonable start price for one needing some attention. will be around all week if anyone wants to view it. The bank holiday weekend could be trickier, but will be available.
NB. Having trouble entering mileage. 15,009 is recorded but, as the speedo is in kph, I'm assuming this is km not miles.
To be collected by buyer and will need van or trailer. Not running! South Somerset.
