For sale is my 2000 year, Honda VTR1000. lovingly rebuilt it yrs ago, rode it lot the first year, but last year got back into Dinghy racing, and it has only done few hundred miles this year. would rather it went to someone who will use it, and also need to fund new dinghy for next year, so sadly it's up for sale.
Ok, what's been done? New wheel bearings, headstock bearings, All brake calipers completely stripped and rebuilt with new seals, new front discs (EBC) Swingarm and shock totally stripped and rebuilt, all bearings ok but cleaned and regreased. New Deep cycle battery, Yamaha mosfet reg/rec conversion so no more reg/rec bonfires! Red Stainless brake and clutch lines, Stripped and powder coated rear and front subframes, stripped and powder coated wheels (gloss black), Fork lowers blasted and powder coated gloss black, and the forks completely rebuilt with new seals etc. New wiring loom fitted due to old one being butchered. Original cans debaffled fitted(they sound awesome) but second set of original cans included if it's too loud for you. Custom seat cover made by seat specialist with basket weave and firestorm logo. Brand new Michelin PR4 tyres fitted, still in as new condition.
Chain and sprockets were checked, cleaned and greased bit did not need replacing, they are still perfectly fine with plenty of life left
MANUAL CAM CHAIN TENSIONERS have been fitted! (these bikes have habit of munching themselves when the auto sprung tensioners give up. 
It is going for new MOT this week and will be sold with brand new one. 
The engine has always run extremely well, so have just serviced it, good oil, plugs air filter. It runs sweet and pulls like train, It is completely standard. These bikes can be tuned but once you start, you are always fiddling trying to get it to run right, so decided to leave it well alone, as they are very reliable as stock and 150mph is enough for me. 
Bad points,  No mechanical or electrical faults, everything works perfectly. It has some marks here and there due to it's age. There are scratches on the pillion seat cover from catching it with my foot, some of the screws and fasteners are starting to show rust, it has always been useable bike, not bike to sit and polish, so it is not immaculate. The laquer is starting to lift in couple of places on the tank. and the mirrors have few scratches on. 
The original exhaust on these is stainless, but the downpipes go rusty orange colour, they can be polished up if you can be bothered, but never did.
This is completely solid, working and reliable bike. It's also the most fun bike have owned and will be sad to see it go. Everything it needs has been done and it it ready for many more years of riding.
