For auction is Honda GL500i Silverwing manufactured in the mid 80's.
The bike was given to me by someone who was moving house and couldn't take with them, The engine starts first time although needs bit of choke to stay idling at first.Brakes moving freely although the front lever isnt working at all.
Currently all the fairing and brackets are removed so that we could start getting the bike up together cosmetically, understand that it is quite sort after model due to its potential for creating cafe racer style bike.I have included photos that show the current state of the bike without tank/fairing/windshield etc, would be happy to put all this back on if needed or not if you are planning not to restore to original condition. even have the original hard pannier cases side and rear to fit the brackets on the back (with keys).
As the bike was stood for quite while there is quite lot of surface rust.
As far as know was never registered in this country although plates that have been used abroad plus the frame details are still clearly marked on the bike
The wheels are in very good condition as is the frame, the bike is quite way from being road worthy but has lot of potential, hopefully someone with bit more knowledge than me can make this bike awesome again.Viewing welcome, just drop me message.
