bought this bike in May for road trip to the Sachsenring in East Germany for the Moto GP with friends. have ridden roughly 1500 faultless miles on her and don't really want to sell as have enjoyed riding again after eight years off but I promised the Mrs who hates bikes that was only doing the trip and then would get rid. The bike now has 32000 miles on the clock. MOT'd it last week with no issues or advisories. Before set off it had new back tyre and the oil and filter done and the carbs balanced but he told me they were already spot on, also fitted USB phone charger and holder for the satnav. The previous owner put new chain and sprocket on it last year and have lots of service documents for her. This is the 2003 model so it is the second generation with the 17" front wheel which really improves the handling versus the pre 2003 models which had the 16" wheel. It also has the updated brakes versus the first model. It came with the Renthal bars which he said made big improvement and the crash bobbins. replaced the big ugly indicators with smaller ones and replaced the cracked number plate with new Euro one.When went to pick the bike up he said he hadn't started it for couple of months but it will fire first time as always but it wouldn't start. He jumped it off his new fire blade no problem so took it home and checked the battery which it looks like his trickle charger had boiled dry. Put new battery in and it has started no problem every time. It has two keys and have the standard can as well which used for the trip as it worked better with the panniers but swapped it back when got home as this one sounds awesome. Unfortunately there is crack in the fairing from the last owner that can be seen from one of the photos above the front left indicator but this was no issue on the trip and is not obvious when stood next to the bike as it is the side that leans towards the floor.
