Former Honda mechanic owner reluctantly has to part with his pride and joy, due to muscle injury that stops him from long distance riding. Pans' are the natural choice for anyone who takes their touring seriously, the 1.3 litre Vee-four engine ensuring you are never scrabbling for power, leaving you to choose your speed for effortless seamless riding. With return in the high 40's, 29 litre tank will carry you long way between fuel stops. This is the perfect machine for turning the road in front to the road behind. Ultra comfortable and adjustable for seat height, suspension and even the wind screen is motorised, allowing you to raise or lower the shield at press of button to adjust for your height or speed.  The bike is fitted with top of the range Garmin satnav system, fully bluetooth enabled to allow you to use helmet sound system to listen to the instructions, or take phone calls from your linked mobile on the go (I used this lot on the move), or listen to your favourite music saved on an SD card inserted into the satnav. The original luggage capacity of the two side panniers and top-box is bordering on 80 litres, enough to include the kitchen sink if you're that attached to it. 
The Pan has long MOT which only threw up couple of recommendations, rear tyre in the near future and play on the steering race bearings. left the tyre, which has enough life for it not to require immediate replacement, but ditched the original ball race steering bearings and replaced them with tapered roller set which, quite apart from lasting about million years, give the bike much more distinct feel when it comes to steering the thing. Apart from the Oxford Touring Heated grips, and Garmin satnav mount, this is the only other custom item on the bike, the rest being stock. Honda have changed very little with the bikes design over the years, having got it right at the outset. It is legend of design, reliability and comfort for anyone who values these attributes, and am happy to advertise this bike as an excellent example for the year. It buffs up nicely (see the photos) but has wear and tear commensurate with machine of its age.  I thought may as well throw in my touring gear as well as am retiring from biking (sob!), so included in the price is REVIT thermal long-johns and long sleeve vest, Klan heated socks, gloves and trousers with associated wiring, Hein Gericke over trousers and jacket for when the weather tries to stop you from enjoying your journeys, heavy duty hide leather jacket (I'm old school here), army dispatch riders boots, leather gloves and BMW C3 Schuberth flip-up crash helmet which includes pinlock anti-mist visor and internal drop-down sun visor, also Cardo Scala bluetooth comms. mike and earpiece device (although not for this model of helmet, still works fine). 
All in all substantial piece of motorcycle touring kit. All of this means you can laugh in the face of cold and wet weather, arriving dry and warm to your destination, regardless of the length of the trip. It is fantastic machine, ultra reliable and has led sheltered and spoilt life.
