Many would like to own an RC30, the handling, the power and not to mention the looks.
Here is great looking replica with the same power as standard RC, accompanied with ultra agile handling, all for an affordable price.
The bike originally was an NC21 VFR400, so we have an NC21/4 Frame coupled with VFR750 engine, operating 36mm carbs breathing through Racing airbox. Uprated suspension with R1 discs and Fireblade Callipers. The Chassis has had all new Bearings, Bushes and seals about 350miles ago.The engine has been set up on a factory test plant/dyno unit. The suspension/handling set up was undertaken on two race tracks in Anglesey. If you are not familiar with the handling of such set up then youtube NC24 handling......The paint work is the correct colours for the RC30 with the white Number board carrying Joe Dunlop's Race number (which can be removed, as vinyl) This was done by Paul Marshall, who is deemed to be the best in the area.
Now for the Builder, the guy has the best part of 40 years experience of tuning and racing. Bikes that he has built and set up for people over the years have come in winning at least championships. He works for himself and is one very talented guy in deed. He built the bike for himself and for four years used the bike as his track parade bike.
The bike has been set up as riding/track runner and not commuter bike. The current ignition/clock set up is for the 400, meaning the limiter will come in at 11200rpm, which would be around 150mph in top gear. If more power was required, the ignition set up would need changing. (but if you are using this on the roads like we have been, then the current set up is more than enough)
The bike itself is in fab condition and we have owned the bike for years. We bought it for my partner who has absolutely loved owning the bike but we are selling it for one reason only... My partner is now running her own business and didn't have the time to ride it at all. the only ride out the bike got was me running it round what call my regular maintenance route for all the toys (a little 2mile block) or once month five minute start up in the barn)Personally would love to keep the bike but have enough toys of my own, of which some only come out once year or on special occasions, so its mad adding another to the toy to that. Besides I think my girl has actually lost the drive/passion for bikes now, hence this one being put up for grabs.
Since the build the bike has covered about 450miles, split between road riding and Parade laps. Other than that the bike has always been stored in our barn or the builders barn under covers. The current mileage on the chassis is 27250, which for 22year old chassis is nothing at all. The VFR750 motor had 23600 miles on its clocks so now would be 24500 on the motor, which again for these bomb proof V4 motors is nothing at all.
To create this bike now, you would need good and complete NC21-4 rolling chassis, along with good VFR750 motor. Then around £2'500 for build/set up time. Then your painting and dressing costs on top. So here is an opportunity for someone to bypass all the hassle and acquire complete and Proven project which is ready to ride with New MOT and New Battery for good and fair price.
BAD POINTS KNOWNTwo minor points which were on the bike when we acquired it, there is small crack in the right side lower fairing and small chip which has been touched up, again on the right side of the tail unit, just above the exhaust. See images for these marks. That is it, that we know of.
