I've owned it for the past years and for or of them it was my daily rider. was on the road on it at 17 with only 7000 on the clock, road it for years until passed my A2. then was on another bike which eventually needed an engine rebuild so ended up back on this for another year or so while sorted my other bike out. I'm motorcycle mechanic by trade and since then I've given it major service with the parts listed below;
New Honda PistonsNew Honda RingsNew Honda Piston Pins and ClipsHonda Head and Base Gaskets (All others Athena)Valves LappedBores HonedNew Valve Stem SealsValve Clearances CheckedNew Honda CamchainsHT Leads and NGK Spark Plug CapsNew Brake Calliper Seals and pistons cleanedFront Brake PadsRear Brake Stripped and CleanedSprocket Carrier Bearing and SealOil FilterAir FilterOil ChangedNew SilverTail exhaust systemFork Seals, Dust Seals, Top and Bottom Bushes and oil changedNew BatteryFront and Rear Tires have plenty of lifeTwo years ago had the rocker covers heads and barrels shot blasted and painted satin black, which looks much better that the stock flakey silver.
All of these cost well over £800 in parts alone, with the labour you'd be looking at around the £1400 mark.
It's been regularly maintained and serviced. The MOT rans out last November but it will be sold with fresh one, having done all the work listed above last year, it will fly through.
It really is fantastic little bike and I've loved every moment of owning it from start to this very minute, speaking from experience it's brilliant first bike, very forgiving, feels much more substantial than the flimsy 125's out there now days. Plus has the points 17 year old looks for... looks great and sounds good (really good with the new silvertails).
The overall condition of it would say is pretty good for the age, but it does have few scuffs and marks and some pitting... it is nearly 20 years old. It comes with the wing mirrors and possibly set of barely used saddlebags for the mounts on the rear, if you can convince me to part with them!
I could go into much more detail, so any questions don't hesitate to ask, viewing welcome if you contact me first and no test pilots unless I've got the cash in my hand.
Many thanks for looking.
