have for sale my 1998 Honda VFR 800 FI which have owned for many years.. Due to bad knees have not ridden this bike for over years. This bike does not have an MOT. On last MOT it was advised slight play in swing arm bearing and head stock bearing. have bought these bearings but they have not been fitted, will include. The engine on this bike is very sound, no oil leaks and starts first time. Pulls like train. Other slight issues have found is rubber seal on one folk needs replacing. The bike has stainless steel exhaust and Honda genuine silencer which are in good condition. However, there is slight blowing on manifold. One of manifold bolts holding exhaust pipe on has snapped, so will need replacing. The front mudguard is broke on bracket, have another one but that is cracked in places so will need plastic glue or plastic weld. There is Givi wingrack fiited which takes Givi monokey panniers and top box. will include top box. its faded so will need polish or spray. have the original seat cowl also have both originals back grab handles to use again should you take the Wingrack off. Bike has Oxford heated grips but needs new controller, replacements easy available. It has Road Pilot tyres with 70% life in them. Recent new Gold chain. The clocks are showing the incorrect mileage. The mileage is around 50k The clocks are replacements as fuel gauge broke on old clocks.I had every intention of doing this bike up but im moving house in weeks time so dont have time or space. Please note im not selling new bike ,im selling 1998 bike which is tad rusty and bit tatty in places but with bit of love and care this can be restored back to classic sports tourer. Please note have tried to be as honest as can with this description. Any potential buyers are very welcome to view bike before end of sale to see condition and hear engine running but due to no MOT there will not be any test rides. would expect the purchaser to contact me as soon as possible after auction end to arrange collection. would expect collection to be within days and cash on collection. would also be ok if purchaser arranged motor cycle courier to pick bike up from me but would want full sale price to be transferred via BACS bank transfer before let bike go.
