This is chance to acquire legend for song (ie just few hundred quid). It is still great to ride with super handling and has been totally reliable. am simply not doing the miles to justify keeping it (I have even older Yam ride most of the time).Mechanically, to the very best of my knowledge it is totally sound and the only MOT advisory was that it will probably need new chain and sprocket next time around. The tyres have lots of miles left and the rectifier (which is known to be bit prone to over-cooking) was replaced with modern version not many miles ago.The reason it's cheap is that although the body work all hangs together OK, it is tatty. The tank has also been well scratched by tank bags. will supply spare matching tank which has much better paintwork, but small dent, sadly. The bike would be ideal for cheap summer thrill, winter hack, or restoration. If you know anything about VFRs you know that the engine was built to be bullet proof and the bike designed to be sporty but tourable. think this model is the best of the lot, 'though know others prefer the later (more expensive) 800. Some TLC could turn this into highly desirable classic.
