This is 1988 model with disc brakes front and rear andbraided brake lines. Being kick start without battery really keeps the weightdown. At only 125kg dry weight and 28hp this is great fun and very easy to rideon and off road. The kick starter has clever linkage that opens adecompression valve when used that makes it easy to kick over and start.
It was completely stripped down couple of years ago andthe frame and luggage rack were powder coated white. More recently have fittednew Heidenau Scout tyres that work well on all terrain, and new inner tubes andrim tape were put in at the same time. new chain and sprockets have also justbeen fitted. It is due an oil change with regards to time since last changerather than mileage. The odometer reads 28,537km which is around 17,732 miles.
This is not concors d’elegance winning machine and doeshave the sort of scratches to be expected on 1988 bike that has been riddenoff road. The seat is faded and there are couple of small rips as shown inphotos, but it is perfectly serviceable and comfortable. It is however in goodmechanical condition with an MOT running until 26-3-2020. Being Baja model italso has the best looking headlights ever fitted to motorcycle!
I will miss this bike when its gone, but am 6’2 and findthis bike just bit too small. The seat height is fine, but find myselfsitting too far back on the saddle when riding on road, something you may needto consider if you have long legs. This is the genuine reason for sale and whyit has only covered around 640km in the last 15 months.
