For auction is 2003 Kawasaki ER5. bought this bike to fix up and ride but have since acquired another bike. The previous owner MOT'd the bike May 2018, rode the bike home then laid it up. When bought the bike the vacuum petrol tap had failed and allowed petrol to fill the sump, have fitted two new float valve needles and removed the vacuum tap and fitted manual tap as temporary fix. The vacuum to carb hose is still present but have blocked it off. This works fine however the original fuel tap will be sold with the bike if anyone wants to fit new diaphragm and re-instal it. have also fitted new oil filter, new battery and fresh oil. The bike starts and runs beautifully with no smoking or knocking, The bike has very good tyres and looking through the file of receipts it has had two new rear shocks for it's last MOT, new tank rubbers were fitted and the forks were rebuilt with new seals and gaiters by professional motorbike outfit. On the negative side the bike has been fitted with motocross style bars (the originals will be sold with the bike) and the choke operating mechanism needs looking at, this should be simple fix. Overall this bike seems to be strong solid and complete and believe with little fettling and maybe carb balance it could be great, reliable, runner. Any questions are welcome and viewing welcome (I would prefer it if the bike was viewed first before bidding) EDIT, iforgot to mention that the PO had fitted brand new carb diaphragms.
