They say you should never judge book by its cover,and here is fine example .Up for grabs here is my trusty Z400.As you can see by the the pictures used the old girl in the Longest Day Down charity event last year.This involved travelling the length of the country in less than 24 hours.Not only that had to get to John O'Groats to start the run ,and back to York from Lands End  .This took place over the course of three days during which time me and the old covered over 2000 completely trouble free miles,and raised ,along with the other brave souls on the run over ??20K for Cancer ResearchAdmittedly she does drip bit of oil( over the whole trip only had to put about pint in her),and she is somewhat cosmetically challenged.However under the highly dubious paint job there lurks very sound motorcycle indeed.Before the run the old girl had lain neglected in shed for seventeen years,so some preparation was required.This involved the following...
Two new Avon Road Rider TyresOil and filter change,this was changed again at the end of the runNew plugs and pointsNew wheel bearings front and rearNew brake pads and seals at the front and new shoes at the rearNew chainNew front brake master cylinderNew batteryNew left hand switch gearNew fork oil seals and oilNew tappet cover gasketsNew carb float valvesNew braided front brake line
None of the above have covered more than two and half thousand miles,she's even got USB plug to charge your phone.In short you could use her just as she is,she just passed her test for another year,or give her the restoration she deserves.I'm only selling because I'm desperately short of space,but would like her to go to good home.She also comes with wad of invoices for the parts listed above,a Haynes manual,original owners manual,and even it's orginal Kawasaki ignition key.I should add that it's doesn't come with the tank bag,but still has everything else fitted.
