The day has finally come for my brother to sell his trusty XR250.He’s had it over ten years and it’s always proven to be bulletproof reliable. He’s only selling because he’s finally bought himself another bike.
Used mainly for commuting and occasional trailride (hence two sets of wheel shown).The bike will be sold with original wheels and road tyres.
This would make perfect cheap run about/commuter bike or first trailbike. The XR is very easy to ride with soft suspension and gentle power delivery (but still plenty of it).
Bike has all the usual extras; good quality bash plate/sump guard, hand guards etc etc
The bike is bit scruffy as it’s been used year round as commuter tool and for occasional green landing, but has been serviced regularly and always been super reliable. It’s just need MOT’d today and passed first time with one only advisory! (the numberplate).
The bike has covered just under 6000miles (speedo shows km).
Recent service history/works: it's had headstock bearings, wheel bearings, and new clutch plates, new engine mounting brackets. Not sure when brake pads were last replaced but will include new set anyway (both front and rear) in the sale. Could do with replacing the bolts at the bottom of the off side fork (because they should be studs and it's quite obviously bodged but has been like that since before he bought the bike).
