Suzuki FZ50 rare and appreciating classic

A classic good-looking Suzuki bike in excellent condition for her age. Please see the photos for condition. Note the small amount of rust here and there (nothing structural), small tear in seat material.

I've owned her for 10 years, and had her running like sewing machine. Twist and go automatic gears, light and as easy to handle as bicycle. Now after sitting in my garage for few years, she turns over freely with good compression, but doesn't start. think will get through MOT with minimal (I just don't have time now) effort probably changing spark plug, new battery, fresh fuel, and perhaps rinsing the carburettor. These are simple mechanical designs, joy to work on (Haynes manual available) and top class build quality. Great fun to ride!

Note for collection only from Long Stratton in South Norfolk, just off the A140.

I'm long-standing (since 2000!) and reliable eBayer, so you can bid with confidence. Any questions, please ask before bidding please understand that bid is commitment to buy if you win the auction, and bid accordingly. £1 start, days only, and no reserve!

Some background blurb on the FZ50, in case you're not familiar with them:

The Suzuki FZ50 was step-through commuter moped, described by Motor Cycle News road tester in 1979 as "the most attractive moped I've seen and must take the run-about class into new area of perfection" with "sporty alloy spoked wheels".

Produced by Suzuki, it was known by the nickname "Suzy" in UK, but in other markets as Youdy. It had 49  cc two-stroke pivoted engine integral with the transmission, and coil-over damper mounted to the single-sided swinging arm enclosing the chain final drive.

Restricted to 30 mph and with an automatic transmission, the engine used Suzuki's CCI oil-injection lubrication system with underseat separate fuel and oil tanks, fuel gauge and front and rear carriers.

There were no pedals, unlike most mopeds, instead using left-side mounted engine kick-start, normally found on larger machines, with lock-out operated by the handlebar-mounted rear brake lever. On 26-Sep-17 at 21:23:12 BST, seller added the following information:Just to confirm that the V5 vehicle registration document is present and all in order.
