Reluctantly selling my GS500 cafe racer rat style bike. The reason for the sale is am doing an evening course in carpentry and joinery, which have to pay for my self, no student loans or anything. Just finishing the first year so have to get the money together to pay for the second year! 
 Theres long list of things that have been changed so i'll try not to forget anything. Obviously all fairings remove and rear frame has been altered to give it flatter seat section, this was done before got the bike but has been inspected by local garage and they have confirmed its all good. 
It has Renthal bars and grips, new indicator front and rear and rear LED tail light. stripped the paint off the tank and then gave it poly clear coat to give it rough look but still protect the tank from the elements. made the side covers out of checkered slip plate and sprayed them matte black to match the frame. I had the reverse megaphone muffler professionally fitted by highly regarded local motorcycle mechanics called Julian Sopers. they did great job and the exhaust sounds great. Sounds as mean as it looks now! With the original muffler on it sounded like sewing machine. 
 I have just put new brake pads on the front as they were the only advisory on the MOT that was done last month so MOT will run until May 2018. Also within month ago changed the air filter, oil and spark plugs so its running great! Always starts great! Also stuck an expensive battery in it about months ago! I have owned the bike since last October. Im not 100% on the history of the bike. From the looks of it, it has been dropped before, theres some scrapes to the engine casings on both sides. There is also dent on the left side of the petrol tank which you can see in the left side picture.
 This is rough around the edges bike looks wise, did most of the cosmetic work my self so it is by no means show bike! But that is what wanted! 
There is some rust in places, the swing arm is the main thing, which is very common with these bikes. But they are cheap to buy and replace so no need to worry, did plan on getting that sorted. Exhaust has been wrapped in black heat wrap.Dunlop tyres with plenty of tread! Also there is only one key.Only last thing can think of is the mirrors aren't great, they look cool but are getting little loose and you have to tighten them often, so they could do with replacing! 
I would highly recommend a viewing, its great bike that rides well and sounds awesome, sounds much bigger than 500 and is nice and light.  Any questions, feel free to ask!
