This is the first of the Suzuki GS750 models, with the wirewheels and single front disc. The bike is in exceptional, un-restored andoriginal condition, and is 100% complete. BackgroundThe bike was brought over from the USA by DK Motorcycles, Stoke, inAugust 2012.The bodykit was repainted by Motorcycle FX paintwork (due tofade and few scratches) using Image Works decals. The bike was given service, the carburettors cleaned andbalanced, new sprockets and chain fitted, the callipers were cleaned andoverhauled and new tyre was fitted to the rear. It was MOT'd, and it was atthat stage that bought it. didn't get the bike registered due to workcommitments, and it was stored in clean and dry garage. The bike now starts and runs (with new battery fitted) butthe carburettors will need cleaning again due to poor idle and drip from oneof the overflow pipes. would replace the front tyre and tube (due to age) andthe rev counter is slow and bit sticky. The rear light lens has crack init. And those are the only issues with the bike. The brakes work fine, the bikeruns though the gears and the gear indicator works perfectly in the instrumentpod,  the clutch is fine and the indicators/ lights and horn all work.Current ConditionThe bike is in fantastic original condition, and everythingon the bike, with the exception of the tank paint and tail paint, is as it leftthe factory in 1976. don't think that the bike has ever been over or evenfallen off it's stand, and there are certainly no damage marks on the engine, the original exhausts, frame etc.It has it's original Takasago wheels with correct date, original mirrors, instruments (38k miles), petrol tank (very clean inside), forks, frame and swinging arm paint, shock absorbers, exhausts, indicators and eventhe seat, although that does have very small nick in the cover.Under the seat it's very clean with original toolkit andtoolkit tray, and the wiring is totally original and has not been modified inany way.I can't find any witness marks on any of the original screwsin the engine, so doubt that it has ever been apart. In fact, all the screws, nuts and bolts on the bike are in excellent condition with no rounded edges, although few are tarnished and or have light rust. The bike does have patina of course, and there are marks inthe chrome, and some marks in the paint on the swinging arm and other lowerparts of the frame, but it presents much like it would have in the UK in the early1980s!The bike comes with it's original toolkit and handbook, andan original workshop manual. have also collected few bits and pieces forthe bike, including spare set of carburettors, spare instrument pod andheadlamp shell lamp, and pair of NOS GS750 badges for the side panels. That's about it. It would probably take weekend's work tomake the bike roadworthy, and then bit of polishing of the engine casings andthe rest of the bike to have truly stunning bike in original condition andspecification. have the Customs paperwork from DK Motorcycles, so with anMOT, it could be on the road very quickly. It is one of the most collectible bikes of the 1970s, beingSuzuki's first stroke and their first cylinder bike, and this GS750A is theearliest version of the GS750. It would be perfect basis for truly amazingconcours restoration, but that may be bit of shame think as this is sucha rare survivor in this condition. Better still in my view, the bike wouldrespond well to detail fettling, to bring up the engine side casings, re-platesome of the bolts and screws that have become tarnished lightly rusted, andperhaps re-paint the swinging arm and couple of other smaller pieces. Ofcourse, it could be left exactly as it is and just enjoyed.I'm looking for offers around £2900 for the bike as itstands. Any questions just ask, or pop over and have look. I'm near Gloucester, about an hour from Birmingham,Cardiff and Bristol,2 hours from London and Manchester. The bike is advertised elsewhere, and reserve the right to remove it from here before the listing ends.
