For sale I've got 2008 Suzuki GSF 1250 in blue. Open to offers. This has got few extras fitted, such as the lower fairing panels that come as standard on the GT model. It's also got taller screen and Oxford heated grips for all year round comfort.
I've also fitted Givi Monokey topbox and panniers which are in good condition with only few light marks, but can confirm are 100% water proof.
These bikes have got lovely smooth torque curve which mean it pulls well from as low as about 3500rpm which makes overtaking easy and means you can sit in 6th gear all day on motorways and duel carriage ways and slight twist of the wrist and the powers there. But at the same time it's just as happy to bumble along all day on roads and get you from to in comfort. took it up to Scotland earlier in the year, two up and fully loaded with topbox, panniers, tank bag and the other half on the back and it never batted an eyelid! And as plus, was still able to walk at the other end and wasn't stiff in the slightest after doing 450 miles only stopping for petrol.Good bits:
Recent break pads front and back.
New D.I.D chain
Wheels have just been resprayed as they where looking little tatty and didn't want to sell it with them like that as the rest of the bike looks lovely.
New rear tyre. This will only have done 50 miles at the most as when was taking the tyre off to get sprayed notice that the rear tyre had got bulge in the side wall. The front tyre still has plenty of life left in it.
MOT till Feb 2017Bad bits:
At the front of the lower fairing the paint has started to come off. think the spray from the front tyre may have caused it but I'm not sure. only noticed when took the wheel off to get it sprayed.
Also on the lower fairing, there are line of scratches. These are from me thinking knew better the the doctors and trying to get back on bike after chipping bone in my ankle when got knocked off my other bike in S.M.I.D.S.Y! Took the bike off the stand, tried to support the weight on my bad ankle and found out couldn't. So the bike very, very slowly worked its way to the ground, There was no heavy impact with the floor, nor was the engine running. Nothing got cracked or broken, and if it wasn't for the fact there was curb next to me there would have been no scratches on the bike at all. But the bike rested on the raised curb making the marks. Annoyed at myself to say the least.
The neutral light is also playing up. It doesn't come one until you start to put the side stand down. I'm assuming it's either got some dirt in the switch, or something else is sticking. It's been like it for while, but I've not got round to getting it fixed as it's never bothered me as it's pretty obvious when you've found neutral on this bike.
Other then that and few other small age related marks the bike looks lovely, especially when its just been polished. While I've had it, it's wanted for nothing (other then the neutral light). Bit's have been changed when it's needed them, and it's been serviced on time.No test rides unless full asking price is in my hand and if you crash it you buy it!Any questions, please feel free to ask and shall try to answer them as best can.
I've just checked and the MOT runs out on the 29th of March 2017, not February. Also The millage may go up slightly as I'm using it for the odd ride while I'm waiting for part for my other bike to arrive.
Cheers Graham
