Starts and rides lovely
I bought this as field bike two years ago and have restored it to very good standard.The whole bike was stripped down and rebuilt with new bearings and parts where they were missing.I had the frame and swing arm professional sand blasted and powder coated so they are now gleaming.It has original wheels, hubs and spokes.When bought the bike the tank was dented and the rear metal mudguard rusty and holed. had them both professional restored and repainted to original colours and new decals applied.I have put on new side panels with new decals.
The only bad points are dent on the rev counter ring (see photo) and some pitting at the top of the front forks (see photo) There is no pitting at the lower part of the forks nor any leaks from the seals.This is rare machine in good order and is fun to ride.
It is now registered with DVLA and has an age appropriate Reg Number.
I have been taking it out for rides since finished it and it's real delight to ride, but remember it is 41 years old so it rides like the old lady that it is. IT always makes me smile.
I have put low reserve on it which is considerably less then the other SP370's which are on Ebay at the moment. And this one is the very first model from 1978 NOT 1979.
