Suzuki SV650 Café Racer
I purchased this as project back in 2011 to complete café racer project.it was bought off ebay as non runner that had been stood outside for while.The engine had been removed due to big end failure and new one sourced butnot tested.
The intention was to build nice clean sv650 café racer, because afterhaving an sv650 in the past knew what kind of weapon theyare, and quite often had more fun on one of thesethan the ridiculous sports bikes previous.
The bike was quickly stripped, blasted, painted, donor engine checkedand rebuilt and assembly began within matter of months. Then newhouses and kids got in the way and the bike remained in 80% completeproject until the beginning of this year. I resurrected the projectat the beginning of the year and completed it in May. The bike wasthen MOT'd in June and passed 1st time (but then again itspractically a brand new bike).
Now have several other projects on the go including cx500 café racer andzx7r /9r to name couple. I've now come to realise enjoy buildingthese machines over riding them as have only done around 150 miles onthe sv650 since the MOT. This is a great little machine toride which is loads of fun and attracts plenty of attention butlack of space and time is forcing the sale.
So here is list rebuilt items, mods, and new parts
Rebuilt: engine, brake calipers front and rear, forks, carbs, wheels
New: Clutch, rear shock, dog links, Chain and sprockets, digital dash, rearsets, battery, brake pads, fully serviced, cables, gaskets and bearingsall over, stainless bolts, alloy fork adjusters, seat cowl, indicators,undertray, braided brake hoses
Mods: custom high level exhaust with hidden exhaust can support, custommachined rearset brackets, custom machined digital dash support, GSXR srad rearshock triple clams and forks to allow for more adjustment over the standardsv650 suspension, HRC rear brake reservoir, belly pan, Triumph headlightbrackets, colour coded (rad covers, belly pan, undertray, headlight bezeland brackets, rear swingarm bobbins, small handle bar rear mirror, sprocketsare renthal +2 on the rear and -1on the engine to allow quicker acceleration.SV650's are restricted in 1,2,3rd gear in the ecu from standard, thisrestriction has been bypassed. 20mm jack on the rear.
