lovely 1973 two stroke twin (k model) imported from Belgium in October 2015showing just over 6.500 miles which is supported by the mots since its registration in the uk.runs sweetly, starts ,stops and functions as intended! smooth powerful and quiet for two stroke)GOES WELL FOR NEARLY FIFTY YEAR OLD BIKE keeps up with modern road conditions and puts smile on your face can tell you!.I purchased this last year as always wanted one and have not been disappointed runs stops and handles well for its age! .As far as know its all original never been re-built with nice genuine patina!repainted in the 1974 gypsy red metallic&gold scheme as the previous owner preffered it to the plain red and white of the 1973 model year.
Reason for sale as follows!
Due to continuing degeneration of both my shoulders (post operations) am having to give up my biking (gutted) now -as i  have lost lot of  upper body strength and dont have proper control any more, pain hits me after about 15/20 miles so cant go anywhere so there,s no point now!.( keep an eye out as more of my bikes come up for sale over the coming months !)
Condition- good used, perfectly acceptable not concours but good daily rider you wont be afraid to ride, has few scars of age in line with her advancing years!.
Picture ten shows small painted over  mark on the lower right edge of the tank, previous owner told me that small pin hole appeared lifting the paint in this area ,he cleaned the area back to bare metal and used aircraft industry metal epoxy (called metal-set if you want to look it up) to seal the hole,as further precaution he striped the tank internally  ,de-rusted and sealed it completely with well know German product called TAPOX then hand touched up the external paint ,this certainly seems to have done the trick as have seen no evidence of any re-occurence in the time have owned the bike.
Also though they are impossible to photograph few small blisters have appeared in the paint on the top of the tank between the filler cap and the seat  am told the likely cause is that small amount of water was trapped in the laquer coat when the bike was repainted which has expanded with the summer heat and bubbled up! they are smooth to the touch, and when strong sunlight shines on them show as small dark shadows in the paint reflected of the candy red base coat.A purist might consider repainting because of this but to be honest both areas are so small they never bothered me enough to worry and if had been keeping the bike would have left it until it got really bad before taking any action!.
Picture eleven shows small scuff on the left silencer which looks to have been done by some one cornering  to hard and knocking the side stand into the exhaust.
Picture twelve shows some slight pitting on the chrome of the front mudguard not to bad just cosmetic does not effect the structure!.and sets the flavour for the bike,  sound basics, little cosmetic patina here and there, solid as rock mechanically- ready to ride and enjoy!
I an always as honest as possible in my descriptions and opinions ,please refer to my 100% seller feedback record but do please take the following into account when making purchasing decision.
Please remember that she is nearly 50 years old so dont expect new bike, also digital photographs in my opinion tent to flatter bit so viewing in person prior to purchasing is always best and recommended!. am very flexible and  will do my best to fit in with any timescale you may have!(previous appointments non-withstanding).
BIKE is based near Red hill in surrey (a few miles from Gatwick airport)viewing recommended and encouraged if your considering purchasing- contact me via normal channels if you want more info or details.
No test rides without written checkable proof of insurance ,and purchase price in cash in my hand your wife /dog/child  held hostage(ho-ho).
Despite my physical issues am in no great hurry to sell, so wont be giving her away out of desperation! and im keen to make sure she goes to the right person who will look after her in the proper manner!.
STRICTLY no time wasters as have low tolerance level for fools and big dog!.I have unlimited time for the genuinely interested!, but people who waste my time irritate me!.
Advertised elsewhere and reserve the right to end listing at any time!
if you want to buy her will require small deposit by bank transfer to secure the bike(will discuss with purchaser) and collection and balance within up to two weeks after the sale!.
hope someone out there likes her as much as do and wants to take stewardship now can no longer keep her!.
If you want to make an offer on my buy it now price! then keep it sensible- low ball  rude offers will be ignored!.contact phone number is 07812 795841
sorry to go on but you all know that there are some people out there that have nothing to do but waste other peoples time  (DONT DO IT TO ME!)thanks for looking!
NOTE added 10th of August
In response to question have been asked !the chrome trim along the bottom edge of the tank is not original it is Halfords product held on by double edged adhesive tape, the reason it is there is thatthe original Suzuki trim used to be held to the tank bottom by metal clips formed as part of the tank base they are still there). the problem with this is that the design was and is a water trap-which could cause the bottom of the tank to rust out! it also causes the trim to rust away!.this bike was imported without the original trim (which is impossible to obtain now even if you wanted it) thus the Halfords replacement which works better and looks pretty much the same anyway!.
Note  also added 10 August
Yes -the mileage stated in the add differs from the mileage on the speedometer picture. This is because the speedometer picture is one from my computer archive as when was taking the pictures of the bike for the listing dropped my camera and broke it and have not had time to purchase new one yet, once have ,if any interested party is bothered by this can always take new picture for the listing! sorry for any confusion caused.
