A lovely example of bike that bought off an old boy who’d lovingly cared for it and systematically copper slipped each and every nut and bolt he had cause to during his stewardship. He even built new garage to store it in!
I luckily got this off him intending to use it as commuter bike but once I’d set eyes on it couldn’t bring myself to give it anything less than the best.
I’ve had few upgrades during the time I've owned it, namely Scott oiler, set of Oxford Hot Grips Touring Heated Grips, pair of short levers (much easier on the wrists) and solo seat cowl (the pillion pegs and grip bar are included in the sale). All of which adding to the pleasing aesthetics of this modern classic.
I’ve purchased set of engine mounting crash bungs that I’ve not fitted yet. They are also included in the sale.
I also fitted double bubble screen which makes riding so much more pleasurable, as it moves the wind drag off your body and onto the visor, clearing any water with ease and making the journey effortless.
I've added Powerbronze rear hugger and chain guard keeping the water and residue away from the frame. It's running of Metzeler Road Tec tyres with plenty of life left in them.
It also has the very reliable and durable Hella plug socket on the nearside which you can power sat nav, phone chargers etc with simple cigarette lighter plug in converter. new Mosfet type regulator rectifier was fitted just over 12 months ago.
I fitted an Optimate optimiser plug in lead direct to the battery so you can simple plug your Optimiser charger into the bike in seconds without having to remove any panels for an overnight trickle charge. Great for keeping the battery at top performance level.
It had new fuel pump relay couple of months ago and while it was in, had the latest software upgrade installed so you can be sure you'll be getting the best out of it from day one.
It had £300 service and MOT month ago and new set of fork seals fitted at the same time. Receipts included.
All paperwork as pictured, including the Haynes manual, all previous mots, lots of receipts, DataTag forms for renewal to new keeper and V5.
Truly gutted to be selling it as this really is the sort of bike I’d keep for life, but serious back injury has sadly restricted me to low amount of miles per year and it’s sadly wasted on me now.
