Amazing chance to buy this classic machine. Well sorted and ridden regularly in 2016.Took it to Isle of Man Manx TT last August and road it round the island for week. Turned many heads.
Reason for sale is have too many bikes and projects and something has to go. Unfortunately it's this!
It was purchased as an American Import from the usual bandits. had looked for one for while, having owned brand new DT175 in 1978. Ageing certificate obtained from Owners Club and age related number plate obtained from DVLA.
This bike was good one, original, complete and only need light amount of sorting to get it on the road.I repaired and powdercoated the seat base. New cover fitted.Back mudguard was split repaired and powdercoated. New fork gaitors fitted. Plug and points done. Carb stripped and cleaned etc.
2 new rear shock absorbers fitted. New clutch plates and springs fitted.
Speedo glass was broken the bike had only done 9,000 miles, but found another complete unit and fitted it for the MOT last year. The current speedo is showing 15,000 miles, but in truth it has only done about 10,000 miles. can show you images of old broken unit.If were to be critical, would say the bike probably wants new front tyre. Rear one was new, but didn't change the front. It has bit of front end vibration when riding, which am certain is the tyre.

The bike has full years MOT and is taxed Classic Bike NIL per year.
I have not restored the bike as felt it's original patina was worth keeping. can show you my restoration projects and you'll see the quality of what do.
