I'm reluctantly selling my FJ1200 3CV. This powerful sports tourer has been in the family for over 20 years. Due to an accident couple of years ago, all the plastic was replaced (with used obviously) and is in desperate need of respray. Apart from that, the bike is totally original. The exhaust silencers are just starting to show signs of pitting but can be restored I'm sure. The bike runs well and is used regularly for commuting to work (when it's not raining!). It wouldn't take much to get this bike to really good condition.This is ideal for someone who is looking to enjoy riding it for the rest of the summer and restore over the winter. The pictures make it look bit better than it is as the plastics 'do' need painting.
The MOT runs out at the end of this month but I'm willing to negotiate this. For an extra £30 or so (above sale price) I'll put it through an MOT. Everything works fine so it will fly through.As result of the accident in July 2015 the bike was deemed Class write off. This was due to the Fairing damage being unreplacable with new and insurance company won't buy used parts. It has absolutely no effect on insurance or MOT. It has undergone normal MOT since.What does class write off mean: Vehicles written off after an accident, flood, or fire damage are often classified as Cat C. In its simplest form, it means that although the car is repairable, the cost of the parts, labour and potentially an expensive hire car would significantly exceed the value of the vehicle.
Could also negotiate delivery price too. I'm in Newcastle Upon Tyne and would consider riding it to purchaser, or bring it in van depends where you are?

Oh yes the belly pan comes with it too. Down pipes need manipulating to fit it on but it fitted fine before messed around with it!!!
