Yamaha RD250D 1978 – matching numbers First registered in the UK June 1978, was on the roadupto Nov 1988 and the previous keeper before me bought it July 1987. It was then left ina garage from 1988 and not on the road to its present day. First owner had it years up to 1986, secondowner from Nov 86 to July 87. So Previous owners before me, have the newstyle V5 in my name but also the old log book/V5 photo copy to prove the above.
Frame: 1A2 2081**Engine: 1A2 2081** The mileage would say is probably genuine at 10088miles. The key fits all locks – ignition, seat, petrol tank. The engine has good compression but no attempt has been madeby me to start it. All fuel was previously drained including brake fluid toprevent any sludge build up or hardening. Previous owner oiled pistons andcranked over periodically. have also done this in the last few months of ownership. Ideally will need full restoration or you could get it up andrunning as it is and freshen it up with new tyres, battery, service, brakes, re-commission and get the paintwork done in time. The tank is pretty clean inside. The exhausts are original and correct numbers Overall genuine straight honest UK RD250 that’s NOT beenimported and low ownership along with original keys and matching numbers bikeand HPi clear. Only item can see missing is the seat-side metal strips, but you can get these from Yambits.  Will also qualify for Tax and MOT exemption as its over 40 years old.
Selling as now don't have time to re-commission it or restore it.
