** To all of the watchers last time it was listed. This is the LAST time I'm listing this, if it doesn't sell this time, I'll put it away until spring when the prices go up again, with demand for bikes. So if you're interested make (sensible) offer, or miss out. Many thanks for reading this ad, and good luck. **
These are seriously under estimated bike !! Always fancied one, well the old 850 actually, but this came up when needed bike and the engine is according to the reviews the better choice. bought this as needed bike for long week ends touring trip as was bike less at the time and it didn’t disappoint !! Used it plenty of times on shorter fun blasts and it really is nice ride. And most importantly my back and wrists like it too, haha.
It is much more capable and quicker than ever thought it would be, the torque is endless and over taking is breeze.
It has done 56323 (may go up slightly if it stops raining long enough) miles (which is still low for its age) but you would not guess from the condition and the way it rides and runs really nicely. Engine and gearbox are fine, no odd noises etc. I’ve replaced the original end cans (the originals can go with the bike) for brand new SP engineering stubby cans and link pipes. The bike sounds 100% better. Ran them with the baffles out for while, whilst liked the sound and cars certainly noticed you, but it was loud and bordering on the offensive, haha, so I’ve put the baffles back in. Still sounds so much better than standard and in my opinion they look good too.
Also has aftermarket indicators that pulse to show the direction. Fitted properly with resistors so the flash rate is ok. Again, think they suit the bike. Other than that it’s completely standard that know of. The body work is really good, still shines up really nicely and just few minor scratches commensurate with age. Only damage know of, is front mudguard has been snapped and glued back together again, and I’ve photo’d it to show it. And the two small oval plastic bits of trim between the seat and front fairing both have broken lugs on, but they don’t move or fall off etc so I’ve left them alone. Just being honest as can in its description.
It’s mot’d and ready to ride away. I’d happily jump on it right now and ride anywhere. But obviously it’s sold with no guarantee or warranty and no returns. But honestly don’t know of any issues.
Only reason I’m selling is I’ve bought Gsxr to Streetfighter, which is something I’ve wanted to do for long while, and whilst I’ve had two bikes before, one always sits idle not getting used as it should, so this one has to go. Hence I’m not interested in any swaps, but sensible offers will be considered.
Test rides are welcome if the full amount is in my bank, via Bacs Transfer before you ride it, that way don’t get stung with fake notes and if you bin it you bought it.
Please, no time wasters, if you don’t want it don’t press the button etc etc, but sadly due to the number of time wasters on here lately, any offer accepted will be on the basis that £100 NON refundable deposit is paid via PayPal immediately any offer is accepted.
Any questions please ask and I’ll answer as soon as can.
Thank you and good luck.
