Hi, you are looking at fully restored, road registered with working lights, yamaha TY250 twinshock, 1978 model but registered in 1980. completed the restoration about 18 months ago and got it mot'd but it's only done about 60 miles since then. It has been stored in garage when not used. It is currently on SORN but will easily pass it's next MOT.The frame has had the shock mounts moved to the majesty position, then been powder coated by Windridge Coatings. The Engine has been re-ported and re-bored to second oversize by Stan "The Man" Stevens (he used to tune Mick Andrews TY's). It was then fitted with DT250 piston, new rings, new small end and gudgeon pin and new reed valves. also had the weight on the fly wheel reduce to about half, the rest of the weight is removable so can be reduced further. This bike has lot more pull than standard TY.The wheels were rebuilt with stainless steel spokes and the rims and hubs and triple clamps painted by Candy Wheels. The seat has new abs plate from Sammy Miller and then fitted new cover.New Betor rear shocks. New handle bars. The exhaust is Sammy Miller stainless front section with WES aluminium centre and rear boxes.Electrex stator with lighting coil and CDI unit, new spark plug and lead.Carburetor has had sonic clean and been vapour blasted New air filter and cage, new front brake cable, new throttle cable, new clutch cable new brake levers and most of the nuts and bolts have been changed to stainless steel, also new petrol tap.I have removed the stroke oil pump and blanked the hole but still have the pump which was working when took it off and the original split throttle cable.I have also fitted 14 tooth front sprocket and longer chain (new) and fitted new Continental Twinduro tyres, so it's more of an enduro than trials bike now. It is now usable on the road and will do 60 mph+, However kept the original length chain and 10 tooth sprocket so it can be returned to it's original gearing (takes about 20 mins)Stupidly low offers will be ignored.Test rides only with full amount of money in my hand and if you break it you've bought it.Collection only.
