Yamaha XS 250 Cafe Racer
Nice running bike with hand-made one-off seat steel seat unit, and one-off steel headlamp fairing.Fitted with Yamaha air-cooled RD 125 petrol tank.Starts and runs. Selects all gears. The brakes work.Same old story, several bikes and only one backside.
I haven't had this running on the road, so can't guarantee trouble-free ride. It would probably need at least service, and the carbs balanced, but once it's been run bit, you'll have better idea.
It's been built in shed, so it's not pro-build. The frame is brush painted, and the metallic silver is home spray paint job. It's reasonable satin finish, but don't expect professional finish.
It was MOT'd when it came, but it should now be MOT and Tax exempt, once you apply to DVLA for historic vehicle status, as it's now over 40 years old.
It's had lots of new parts including: coils, plugs, leads, brake switch, mini speedo (in KM/H). Can't tell you the mileage, as there was no speedo fitted when it arrived.
Kick start only.Wiring needs tidy-up here and there.No indicators fitted.All the lights, brake light etc are working.
V5 present, and in my name. The bike is currently on SORN.Please have good look at all the pictures as they form part of the description.This bike is over 40 years old and is sold as seen.
