General: Please read all the description below and call me on 07803 165440 if you have any questions 1974 Yamaha XS 650More accurately it’s TX 650 but the whole family-XS-1 XS-2 XS/TX 650 etc has been generically absorbed into our consciousness as “ XS 650”9000 miles only !!Imported from Ohio, USA last year and in condition you’d expect of bike with such low mileage It came in an appalling 70’s tea bag brown that was quite faded so had it repainted to exhibition quality in model-correct Kenny Roberts colour scheme of black and silver- and it looks fantastic.Oil-tight of course and the engine is VERY strong. Pulls like train. Starts very easily on kick or electric starter though it has to be said the starter is poor as is common with the model. No idea why the standard starter was never upgraded but they fitted this item for years and years. Yeah, beats me too. If can source really good starter you can have it. Someone has fitted remote starter button which may get round to replacing as original spec. General condition as belowChrome:Exhausts are original and absolutely lovely with very good chrome finish, no scratching which is so common and it sounds wonderful with tremendous bark. Mudguards: 100% 100%Wheels are originals in aluminium and perfect without dings or scratches -I’ll pop pic up. Modern tyres fitted so no heart- stoppers in the rain.Tail lamp chrome is pitted as picture but hey, it’s 40 years old. Seat is in excellent condition with no marks or splitsGauge faces good and without sun-fading. Front brakes fully overhauled with new master cylinder, rebuilt brake calliper and new pads. Forks re-sealed, oil renewed and new dust covers popped on.New battery for peace of mind Guys. This rides like bike that is years old, not 40+. great example and if you ride it you’ll want it. Tax is paid, documentation is complete and bike is sold on V5 with UK age related plate ***230M and long MOT. £3450 o.no. I’m not dealer but an enthusiast, passionate about my bikes.
