Hi, You're bidding on Yamaha XS650B. 
Bike was imported by DK motorcycles from the states back in 2015. The first UK owner, (an ex Yamaha race team mechanic) owned it for years in which he toyed with it from time to time. He rebuilt the carbs, recovered the seat, powder coated the side panels fitted new battery but had so many other projects and bikes he never had enough time for it. 
I bought it early this year and have since got it registered with the DVLA on plate, bike was originally manufactured in Dec '74. The bike still had the original tyres on it. They held air but were shot. I've replaced front and back with new Avon Road Riders, 3.25 front and 4.00 rear, new inner tubes and rim tapes. While the rear wheel was off put in new brake shoes and springs.
The bike is registered as Historic Vehicle so road tax is free. It's Mot exempt. I've registered it with TfL so is now exempt from the ULEZ charge should you want to ride through central London(?) Copy of TfL letter comes with the documents. 
There's just over 12200 miles on the clock, and the engine sounds like it could be genuine. Clutch and gearbox work as they should. C&S are fine. Chrome is pitted and rusty in places but it is 45 years old. Paint work on the tank is faded with dent on the top. Inside is fairly clean. This bike has lovely old patina and is pretty much original. Oil was changed before bought it but have new oil filters and gaskets that will come with the bike. Fork stanchions are pitted but the seals seem dry. Wheel, head stock bearings are fine, no movement in the swingarm. Electric start works
