Hi and welcome to my auction for this fantastic yamaha yz250r race bike originally built and raced by Chris Pearson of classic bike magazine, It was based on 1979 yz250 moto cross bike and was raced by him in the early 80s with lot of success, full write up of this can be found by googling, yamaha yz250r road test.
A friend of mine had this bike which he purchased in very sorry state then he totally striped her, sent the motor of for total rebuild with powder coated casings then he went through the long job of rebuilding her into the lovely bike that she is now.
When seen the finished job just had to have her and since then she has had pride of place in my home as an ornament. Because she was coming into my house no oil or petrol was put in her. All she needs is oil, petrol (two stroke and pilot then she is ready for classic racing (125 class as she is single ), parading, track days, add to your collection or do as did, put her in your house just to look at. If you are into classic bike racing this is one that can't be missed as only handful were produced and you won't see another one for sale in hurry, The only reason for the sale is that am moving abroad.
