PLEASE READ TO THE END. GENUINE REASONFOR SALE. Hi and welcome to the sale of my R15PW. am the second owner. The bike was bought from George White in Swindon inJune 2004 and acquired it in 2006. The bike had done 2640 miles when acquired in in August 2006. used it forfun and to commute the 10 miles to work when the weather was OK. decided totry trackdays but didn’t want to use my road bike so acquired dedicated 5PWtrackbike from Karl Bristow (ex-Harris rider). This was very special and neverlet me down in six years of trackdays. (Now sold) This bike is immaculate bar minor paint scuffs and rides andsounds 100%. It has been totally reliable and I’ve never crashed it. Greatlooking bike. I have never taken it to garage butshould explain that I’m over 60 and have had all sorts of bikes over 45 years,so know my bikes and do all my own maintenance. The only specialistknowledge/equipment that these bikes need is for injector balancing and valveadjustment (and these don’t need done until 17k miles, think). have changedthe oil and filter six times(records kept) in addition to changing the coolant, brake pads, plugs etc. Theinjectors were balanced couple of years ago by my mate Colin (ex-pro mechanic)but he said they didn’t need it anyway. Ihave also refurbed the EXUP valve components – cost over £200 – and I’llbet this is one of the few 5PWs in the UK with still-working EXUP valve. Justask any of the others – note that their adverts don’t mention it! REASON FOR SALEI hadn’t used the bike inanger since retired four years ago, hence the low mileage (12500ish) and obviously haven’t beendesperate to sell it but guess it has to go to good home. Having changed all the fluids andreplaced the battery, chain and sprockets. tried to start it up. The fitteddatatool alarm/immobiliser wouldn’t activate so bridged the alarm terminals(as described in couple of Youtube videos) and it started and ran fine. ranit around the streets couple of times and it was fine but it cut out in thedrive with error code 19 showing on the dash. see from the net that this is aside stand cut out problem but can’t spare the time to fix it since havejust had knee operation and need another soon. could break it for moremoney than am selling but it’s beautiful bike and really much too good forthat and at 62 it is too much hassle! It’s an immaculate bike with sweetengine. Never dropped. Well worth look but no attempted in-my-garage fixersplease! Phone me on 01952 401384 for chat anda visit. Low starting price.
