Up for auction is 1983 yz250k which can either be restored or potentially be used for parts. originally bought this 13 years ago off friends father with the intention of carrying out nut and bolt restoration although after spending some effort sourcing parts it got moved to the side with the thought I'd get round to it one day, now could do with the space so it must go. Before me the bike had sat in shed for over 10 years after the powervalve failed and damaged the piston. When stripped the bike most of the parts were stored in box after being cleaned and greased, the big stuff I.e frame and wheels etc were put into the shed where they have suffered some corrosion although with shot blast and powder coat the frame will be fine. There's new set of plastics included, most are reproduction panels from America but the rear mudguard is genuine nos, these plastics cost me £150 back then. The bottom end was filled with oil in the crank when stripped so still turns over fine. Virtually all of the bike is there component wise except the piston and powervalve linkage although did pick up replacement powervalve, there may also be nut or bolt missing but did box most of the little bits at the time. Barrel has been resleeved to standard bore size. There are some really nice original parts like the exhaust and silencer which after spending so much time not being thrashed and bashed have survived very well. Buyer must collect within days of auction ending. Please study pictures carefully as to ascertain condition of parts. Feel free to contact me with any questions. The carb is there! Just forgot to put it into picture. There are many exploded diagrams available on the internet of the bike so wouldn't be too put off by many bits needing to go somewhere! I did have new clymer manual which I'll try and dig out, if find it I'll include it in the sale.
