For sale is my 1937Chevrolet 4-door sedan. This car was built into Street Rod in 2003, startingwith an original rust-free car that had been in storage for 30 years. The bodyon the car is straight and rust free.  The body, interior and trunk floors, doors, etc are all solid and rust-free, other than little surface rust on the unpainted surfaces underneath the car. The car had been repainted in the 1960’s andpinstriped at that time. The paint is in fair condition, looks good from 10feet or so, but has numerous nicks and scratches from years of sitting in agarage, as well as being driven to car shows and even running errands from timeto time. good buffing and touch up would probably help! Has the original Fulton sun visorinstalled. The original stainless grill is in excellent condition.
The tail lights havebeen replaced with 1939 Chevy units. The windshieldand rear window were replaced with new glass and rubber in 2003.  The side windows are in good original condition, although one of the rear windows is cracked. The weather stripping around thedoors is bad, and much of it has been removed. new weather stripping kit isincluded with the purchase of the car. The rear bumper was remounted to becloser to the body. The original front bumper has been removed but is includedwith the car.  The engine is Chevy454 Big Block; 1993 truck short block with low miles; 9:1 compression;Edelbrock Performer RPM cylinder heads, coated Block Hugger headers with 2-1/2”exhaust to Dynomax Hemi mufflers; Edelbrock Air Gap intake with Holley 780 CFMvacuum secondary carb, serpentine belt drive; Pertronix ignition module.Aluminum radiator and water pump, electric fan, electric fuel pump.  When built, theengine dyno’d at 500 HP with Comp Cams XE274H Extreme Energy hydraulic cam(see attached dyno sheet); since then the cam was changed to Comp Cams XE268Hfor bit more mid range power. I’m guessing the power is now in the 450 or sorange. The transmission is GM 700R4 automatic with non-computer operationupgrade; later model Camaro SS converter, and Lokar floor shifter.  It has the originalframe, with extra tubular bracing added for the Big Block power. Fat ManMustang II-based front suspension, power rack pinion steering wasinstalled. Power front disk brakes were installed, with the master and boostermounted under the floor.  The rear end isan older Ford 9-inch with 28-spline axles and new brake drums, mounted to the framewith Chassis Engineering leaf spring suspension kit. The differential is anewer 3:50 posi unit. The wheels are 15x8 rear and 15x7 front rally wheels withgood rubber. The interior has manyoriginal items, including the headliner, rear seat and door panels that are invery good condition. The front door panels are deteriorating at the bottom asshown in the photos. The front seats are from ‘90’s Ford; newer carpeting. Alate model GM tilt column and T-Type steering wheel are in good condition.  Auto Meter gauges. Vintage Air heat and A/Cunit is installed under the dash, and A/C compressor mounted on the engine, buthas never been connected. Electric wipers. This car is lot offun to drive; needless to say it’s fast, but handles well and is easy to drive. As noted the body is solid and rust free, and the paint looks good unless youget up close and notice that it’s an older paint job with years of life spenthot rodding around town. The big block sounds great, and is pretty quiet untilyou stand on the pedal. The overdrive transmission works well on the highway, and have seen 17 mpg with it. Overall, it’s greatcar that could use some updates and finishing. As noted, the heater and AC werenever connected up because….I really didn’t need them, other than few coolfall days, and of course the car has been stored every winter up here in Minnesota.
