1941 CHEVROLET SHORT BED 1/2 TON PICKUP This is chance to own very desirable 1941 Chevy pickup. The truck is very complete and very solid for 75 year old vehicle. The doors open and close nicely, all the door latches and handles work great with the exception of the outer passenger door handle. The widows both roll up and down easily and the windshield cranks out probably as good as the day it was new. All the glass is in tact but will need replaced. The doors, rockers, cab corners, and running boards are as solid as I've ever seen on one of these old trucks. The only real rust see is one spot behind the tire on the right rear fender, and on the wiper cover that goes above the windshield due to mice nests. These covers are available aftermarket and are held in by few screws. Also there is damage to the flat area that it attaches to between the windshield hinges. It wouldn't be too hard to fabricate flat piece and weld it in if desired but it is hidden but the wiper cover anyway. The previous owner had partially disassembled and reassembled the truck. He didn't reinstall the inner fenders and some of the under hood pieces but they are in the bed of the truck. The clutch and brake pedals along with the shifter are missing. The truck was originally red, the fenders have the normal minor dents and dings as well as couple cracks that have been welded up but considering the truck is three quarters of century old the body is really in nice condition. It has steel floor in the bed but from underneath all of the original wood bed floor appears to be in tact and in excellent condition. It has three of the rare artillery wheels and the tires all hold air and do not leak. It rolls and steers but of course it has no brakes. It appears that the last time the truck was licensed was in 1963 according to the license plate on the tailgate, therefore have no idea as to the condition of the engine and drivetrain. The reserve is reasonable, don't have buy it now price but will listen to offers. do reserve the right to end the auction early but once the reserve is met will let it run the duration. don't really care if sell the truck or not, my intentions were to put nice interior in it along with modern suspension with an LS and overdrive and make daily driver out of it, just have another project in mind that I'd like to pursue. have clear title in my name which matches to VIN. The odometer shows 69874 miles, this could be actual but have no way of knowing. The truck is sold as-is, you are more than welcome to inspect it prior to the end of the auction and are encouraged to ask all questions before bidding. If you have zero or negative feedback you must contact me before bidding. $500 deposit via PayPal is required within 24 hours of auction end and the balance is due within seven days either in cash or certified check. The truck is located in Mansfield Missouri and must be picked up at my location. Buyer is responsible for all shipping fees and arrangements but the truck can be left here as long as needed providing the payment requirements have been met.
