 It starts off with full frame-off restoration of arust-free truck that includes painted frame, and an original reworkedcab.  The cab is not an off-the-shelf replacement... it is theoriginal cab that has been completely refinished to like-newcondition.  All the internal and external hardware has been replaced withnew, and the door latches are butter smooth.  New vent windows and doorglass help round out the mechanical portion of the cab.  An AM/FM radio with Bluetooth connectivity is hiddenin the glove box, which actually still retains some usable space.  Thesingle 6x9, dual voice coil speaker resides behind the dash.  You can listen to your music with amodern flair in the ideal throwback hot rod pickup with the help of someDynomat too keep unwanted sound out.  A USB port resides in the dashjust to the left of the glove box.  This will charge and play music fromyour phone, iPod, or other MP3 player, if Bluetooth is not desired. Classic Instruments 12-volt gauges and American Auto Wireharness reside in the instrument panel, keeping the driver wellinformed of the engine operation through modern-looking readout of theoriginal gauges functions; Fuel Level, Charging voltage, Water Temp and Oilpressure... and of course speedometer and odometer.  There isa new carpet kit, headliner, and vinyl door inserts and blackvinyl seat with red piping. 
Under the hood is hopped up version ofthe 235ci inline that would have been typical upgrade for these trucksin the fifties and sixties.  With blue finish and chrome rockercover, there is no hiding the purpose of this engine.  It's not going toset any speed records, but the engine winds up and goes just as well as theearly 265 V8's.  Feeding air through pair of single barrel carbs on aFenton intake manifold, the engine then pulses the exhaust out through amatching pair of Fenton 3-into-1 headers, through 2??? dual exhaust tipsexiting just behind the rear wheels.  classic look, with sound moreakin to small block v8.
The bed has received very simple, but classytouch.  Dark stained and clear coated oak bed wood with paintedstrips and polished stainless steel hardware keep the bed looking good, althougha little toned-down.The entire drivetrain, like most ofthe truck itself, has been rebuilt.  The 235ci cylinder iscompletely rebuilt, as have the 4-speed transmission and original rearend.  Every thing is 1950's, but rides and drives like new. Through the entire build, the truck has been kept indoors, in smoke-freeenvironment.  Everyone that has driven it during this time are alsonon-smokers.
The suspension has received the same treatment aseverything else.  stock front axle has been rebuilt and modified  to accommodate 4" drop, and the rearend has been dropped to match.  All the bushings have been replaced withbrand new rubber to help this truck retain comfortable ride quality. Wide Whites mounted on stock sized wheels keep the truck rolling on down theroad while keeping slightly refined truck-like ride quality.  With aminimalist approach to an over the top build, this truck has pulled attentionto it at all levels of the build, and turns heads every time it's out on thestreet!
