1965 Ford Mustang Convertible. EFI 5.0 and five speed.
I am listing the car for my cousin, Nick, who lives in Cottage Grove, Minnesota.  The car is currently located there.  Nick can be reached by calling (651)-983-8243.  Please feel free to call with any specific questions you may have.
Nick bought the Mustang in Austin Texas from the original owner's son in 2003.  The original owners son is still in Round Rock Texas and we have his contact information.  He would gladly share memories of the car and some the the very interesting history of the car traveling the globe as the original owner was in the military.  We know for sure the car has been as far as Japan and back in its storied life.


Nick, the current owner, has completely restored the car as well as done many mods inside and out.  The car runs and drives flawlessly and needs nothing to be enjoyed for many miles of fun!!

PAINT AND BODY:
The car, before restoration, was very solid 98% rust free owner Cylinder Convertible.  It still retains all of it's original floors and frame rails.  quarter was replaced with Ford quarter panel during restoration.  The doors were replaced with rust free OEM doors because large speakers had been cut into the originals.  The new doors were for car with Pony Interior, the lights have been installed in the holes since the picture was taken.  All of the sheet metal is OEM Ford sheet metal, no reproduction.
The body color is 2004 Ford Competition Orange, The interior paint color is called Alloy it's  from 2007 Shelby gt500
The tail lights are from 1968 Chevy Camaro
All emblems have been deleted
Front valence has been modified by filling the license plate mounting holes and removing parking lights ( turn signals are LEDs in head lights)
custom roll barThe car is painted with base/clear and has been completely cut and buffed.  The paint is out of 10.


ENGINE:
The engine is 5.0 from 1989 Mustang completely rebuilt balanced and blueprinted.  It was bored .30 over and has 9.2 to compression ready for supercharger or turbo) heads are steel GT40 heads from 93 cobra with full roller rockers, the cam is Ford Racing B303. The intake is the stock one from the 89 GT Mustang that is smoothed out.  It has been dyno tuned and is Mass Air motor.  The car is very quick and runs flawlessly, sounds aggressive and is extremely reliable and efficient.


TRANSMISSION:
Is T-5 speed from the same 1989 Mustang GT with short throw shifter and custom one off shift handle made from Snap-On wrench.  new cable style clutch mechanism operates the Ford Racing clutch.


SUSPENSION:
Four wheel power disk brakes
Front suspension is mostly stock parts but did the Shelby 1" drop and shorter springs
7/8" front sway bar
Manual steering
Rear springs are mid eye lowering springs
KYB gas adjust shocks on all corners
Subframe connectors (weld in)


EXHAUST:
2 1/2 Flowmaster with turn downsShort style headers

17" American Racing Torque Thrust II
Front 17x7 with 205/50/17
