Texas Classic Cars Of Dallas is proud to showcase this very nice 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible,A great Corvette for tours and rallies, classic example of Americas favorite sports car. According to the cars trim-tag affixed underneath the dashboard, the new Corvette was finished in the rare combination of exterior color Ermine white and trimmed in red; just like it appears today. The engine powering this Roadster is the L79-type, 350bhp small-block 327 cubic inch V8, and is mated to the desirable, 4-speed close-ratio manual transmission and positraction rear end. This is matching numbers car except transmission that was recently replaced this march with date correct transmission the original matching numbers transmission will come with the purchase of the car. 
This car has been restored from frame up and driving it has been made more enjoyable with the addition of air conditioning, power steering, modern stereo with cd player and amp all this while keeping the original look and style of the era. The Corvette is equipped with knock-off style alloy wheels; as well as dual chrome tipped exhaust system, which also ads to the wonderful sound of the V8 engine. This Ermine White Corvette has been repainted at some point, and presents beautifully throughout. Inside, one finds the classic, wood-rimmed steering wheel to hang onto while taking sharp corners. New carpeting was installed along with sound deadening material for quieter ride. 
Recently serviced, this beautiful 1966 Roadster is ready for spirited drives on rallies or weekend cruises and should be powerful enough to satisfy your straight-line ???need-for-speed???! All improvements can be brought back to showroom original if desired. This corvette has won first place trophies and plaques at local car shows it is real head turner in sound and looks. This is car that??™s ready to enjoy and not trailer queen although it looks like one, you will definitely enjoy driving, winning and showing off your new Vette at car shows. These Michelin tires were on the car during the photo shoot and were showing age. The seller has replaced them with brand new set of Hankook white walls just this past week. 

 The convertible top shows as new.





The real Corvette knock off wheels, add at least another $4000. to the value of this classic.

The engine compartment is very clean.
  In 1966 The 427 big block option became the most desiredengine, so small-block offerings were cut from five to two for 1966, and onlythe basic 300- and 350-bhp versions were retained. Both required premium fuelon compression ratios well over 10.0:1, and they didn't have the rocket like thrust of the 427s, but their performance was impressive all the same. As before, both could be teamed with the Powerglide automatic, the standard three-speed manual,or either four-speed option. 

The air conditioning is unit from Old Air. 









The interior is very original except for new carpeting. The seats are their original leather. They show some aging, but are still in good condition.  This is very nice example of a 66 Corvette convertible.


The mileage is said to be original.  we were actually able to pull up an Auto Check report that does not go back to the beginning of the cars history, but it does show owners and the mileage to be correct.





The original clock actually works.





Wanting to keep the car as original looking as possible, the CD changer remote was hidden under the dash and the unit is hidden in the back.
