The car will need full restoration.  Virginia title in hand. have the original 1966 license plates on the car.
I bought the car new in September 1966. It had 289 engine with three speed manual transmission. piston broke due to fragment of spark plug that fell into the cylinder. replaced the engine with 1970s 302 engine. The have the original 289 engine and it goes with the car. The car has not been started in 22 years. The 302 in the car now has about 40,000 miles on it. 98,000 miles on the odometer.
The car has rust in the usual places-- floors, rear frame rails, inner and outer rockers, torque boxes, fenders, trunk floors,etc. but all in all is in fairly good shape because it spent much of its life in garage.  The driver door was backed into and repaired and the is small dent in the right rear quarter panel.
The convertible top is manual frame is in good shape but the top material will need to be replaced. The stainless trim around the front windshield is in good shape.
The interior is all original but is worn out and needs to be recovered. The car will need restoration but all the parts are there and is in decent restore-able condition.
