Submitted for your consideration:Elderly Owner is selling his "keeper" due to physical handicap that precludes his ability to physically fit into and enjoy this car which he has owned since 1982.It is believed he is the 3rd owner having acquired this from his Father.
The color is burgundy over beige leather hides. Removeable paint-to-match T-roof panels.
Automatic Transmission. Power everything. 57k original miles. Updated mechanicals. AC is complete, but does not blow cold and likely needs updated freon etc.New OEM Dash Pad and door trim panels installed. Rear end was rebuilt for elderly owner by Nascar consultant who is in the car club.
According to the elderly owner everything works except the clock. On further checking, the lift-up wiper cowl panel that lifts when the wipers on is not lifting properly. Club mechanic believes this is the result of bad hose, disconnected hose, or bad vaccum actuator which is readily cost effectively available. As the owner hasn't driven his car in the rain in over 20 years or so, this was never an issue worthy of redress. The Right headlight door has vibration evident. It is probably just loose with age and should be minor fix.The car was completely professionally repainted at some point in the mid 80's from Dark Green Metallic to it's current (attractive) burgundy color. There is some checking in the paint and minor damage on top of the hood that will require paintwork. An overall refinish in this color would make this example stunning.Vehicle has been sitting in climate-controlled garage and could use detailing.A test-drive revealed the suspension to be very tight. Owner indicates that he was advised that for age of this sports car, the front bushings etc. may require replacement as maintenance item------something typical to this vintage. No accident history. Always Southern vehicle.
These split-bumper examples continue to climb in value as the next choice collectible. Get this before it goes to auction.Owner will provide any other information and documentation that he has kept on this car in his 35-year ownership.Owner is leaning toward big-block auction but elected to opt for eBay to see if reasonable price obtained etc.Vehicle is for sale outside of this auction and may be sold at any moment. All details provided are believed to be accurate to the best of the elderly owner's knowledge. Vehicle is being sold fairly as is-where is with no implied warranty(s).Please direct any questions to 615.979.3058 c/o Chris (AACA Car Club Member/Appraiser). Please no calls after 9pm CST.
