Some early production1977 Corvettes were still built with the orange painted engines but most havethe new blue engines. Leather seats were standard but cloth seat inserts wereoptional. voltmeter replaced the previous ammeter in the gauge cluster. The"Door Ajar" and "Headlamp Up" warning lights were removed.The Manual shift lever grew an inch but with shorter travel. Power steering andbrakes were standard for the first time. The steering wheel as wrapped inleather to match the interior and the steering column was shortenend. Thepadded sun shades could be swiveled to cover the side windows now. newcrossed flags badge adorned the front of the hood between the headlights aswell as on the fuel filler door.
