bought this car as roller from the previous owner who removed the engine because it threw rod.

It looks like the engine seeps oil from the filter housing and the timing chain tensioner but haven't seen drop in the level or any on the ground so don't think it's bad. just changed the oil, but the previous oil had been in there for over year and it didn't leak while sitting. There is spot of rust on the rocker below the driver's side door and on the trunk lid but no rust any where else. Under side is in good shape but there is some corrosion on the diff subframe. All rust areas are pictured. Tires need to be replaced. Door panels aren't the best and need few more clips. Driver's side window motor
stops halfway sometimes. Scratch on the front window. Front bumper has tear on the top. Catback is from regular series.

Window washer reservoir is not connected. Intake boot is useable but has some cracking where the ICV connects. Cruise control cable is not connected to throttle. Hood shocks dont always hold the hood up. Door speakers dont work. Radio is missing. There is hole worn in the carpet on drivers side. Back lights to the check control screen are out. Engine fan is missing blades but have replacement. Those are all the issues that know of, but will post more if think of something.

The engine is from my 97 m3 parts car. It has 170K miles on it and was originally from an automatic. It has been converted to the M50 manifold. It has tuned ECU with the EWS deleted, Emissions deleted (SAP, muffler, secondary O2), 91 octane, 7200 RPM rev limit. Max gains claimed 12hp and 10 lbs torque with this tune. dont think the engine has ever been overheated. It still has BMW head gasket so dont think the head has ever been disassembled. New fuel filter. New mobil one engine oil

The exhaust consists of tubular headers connected to OBD midpipe. It still has cats but at least its H-pipe is instead of the X-pipe.

I changed the power steering fluid with mobil one synthetic ATF. Engine oil is 15W50. When put the A/C back together installed new dryer, replaced most of the seals, and drained the compressor and added synthetic PAG oil. only put about two pounds in it so it may still need refrigerant, but its been working great.

The rear shocks are bilsteins and are functional but dont know the mileage. The front struts are koni single adjustable inserts in Sachs housings coated with POR 15. Struts have yet to see any road use. The top strut bearings are also new OEM with strut reinforcement plates. Springs are Eibach. Steering knuckle is new OEM.

Clutch was previously changed on the car before got it. dont know the mileage but it has plenty of life left and is the sprung hub type. The flywheel is lightweight aluminum flywheel. Rear seal and pilot bearing looked good. I'm assuming they were changed when the clutch was done. was told that the transmission and slave are from lightweight 95 M3 with 70K. The transmission has some gear oil in it to eliminate gear noise that can be caused by the single mass flywheel. didn't see any leaks. The CV boot on the drive shaft is torn, but it is not loose and added grease when installed it. Drive shaft does not have any play in the joint either. Differential has oil.

Front rotors are new and the fronts pads are hawk pads with low mileage. Rear brakes are not new but probably don't need to be changed.

It has been in few accidents, but all the panels are stamped with the original vin except the front bumper. The previous owner lost the front bumper. The one that is on it was damaged when it was mounted on different car, but it is OEM bmw. The front fenders look like they have had paint work done to the front corners and there are some cracks in the paint at the corners.

I have been as honest as can be, but let me know if you have any questions. have spent lot of time on this car, but life has changed and have another M3 that would like to spend more time on.
