You are looking at very correct and original 1940 knucklehead.  This bike was restored with all the original parts and hardware down to the wiring harness.    It does have 40s aftermarket muffler that was on the bike. The rest of the exhaust is original.   have 1941 and later clutch cover and assembly on it  I do have the 1940 cover and clutch assembly that will go with it.    I also have original Firestones if you want to put original tires on it.  Runs and rides perfect!  Needs nothing.So if you are looking to complete your collection or you just want museum piece, promise you will not be disappointed!                          Please serious questions only.  can answer all questions. On Nov-01-16 at 05:01:59 PDT, seller added the following information:36-40 cases were known to crack on left side case. This one does have crack.  It has been there for 20 years and doesn't affect performance of machine at all. If the winning bidder would like to have it repaired can take care of that. To me this bike needs nothing but for people that want things perfect then you would probably want to fix the case even though it wont stop you from riding it daily. Sorry for any confusion.
