Vintage 1942 Harley Davison WLA 45" Flathead Motorcycle Restored Runs/Rides
Bike is in overall good shape for its age.  Was restored at one point and looks very clean.  Engine is an original, belly numbers matching WLA engine with good VIN stamp.  Engine and transmission appear to be rebuilt as they are very clean. Speedometer shows 293 miles, which may have been installed when the bike was restored. believe the transmission might be later WL due to the shift pattern.  Frame is an original solo frame.  Springer looks to be original with chrome front leg, rear legs have been tapped for the Hydra-Glide style risers. The tins and most chrome look to be reproduction.  Tank emblems have the double sided tape mounts from Harley. Rear fender has some discoloration, most likely from battery acid, but have not tried to remove it. Bike has been converted to 12 volt system with Cycle Electric generator and Mallory billet distributor.  Carburetor has been replaced with Mikuni flat slide.  Bike runs well with no strange noises, shifts into all three gears and stops fine.  Would be great cruiser as-is or customize how you want.  I have clear AZ title in my name that matches the VIN on the engine.  Titled as 1942 Harley WLA.
