have decided to sell off my Harley 45” Flathead race biketo fund some other projects. This bike is pieced together from parts that Iacquired from friends, swap meets, Craig’s List, E-bay, etc. First and foremost, DON’T have title for the bike ormotor.  It has an “assigned” VIN numberstamped into the VIN pad, which appears to have been done many years ago.  The 14H number plates are not included withthe sale and will be removed.Engine:  In assembling the motor, used lot of performance parts fromPaul Friebus at American Cycle Fabrication (ACF), Bloomsburg, PA.Surplus/replacement cases with matching 1945 belly numbers(45-2610).  As previously stated, theleft case has an “assigned” VIN number stamped into it.  The VIN boss has not been ground down.OEM WR flywheels and connecting rods trued and balanced byACF.OEM cylinders and pistons are .010 over. The cylinders havebeen ported, relieved, and oversize valves installed, along with WR/Knuckleheadintake nipples also by ACF.OEM aluminum heads decked, relieved, and clearance for theoversize valves.  No broken, cracked, orchipped fins anywhere on the heads or cylinders.Linkert M53A1 carburetor rebuilt with rubber ducky float and bolt WR intake manifoldinstalled. Snap throttle also installed.Friebus grind cam set installed.Four vein oil pump upgrade.Fairbanks Morse-HD magneto. Inline oil filter installed on return line from Marty at USARacing.Dual exhaust.Transmission:The Harley 3-speed trans was NOS before installed it inthis bike.  Date code F-3.  Everything works as it should and it stillhas most of its original OD green paint remaining.  Later style shift drum was installed.Frame:The frame is nice and uncut, with the only modificationbeing the tabs that welded to the top of the seat post casting for the soloseat pivot.  It could easily be removedif the buyer wanted to run pogo seat. It has #4 hallmark on the neck casting.  Palmer’s book dates it 1942.  General:19” front and 16” rear star hub wheels with Firestone ANStires.  The rear wheel has bead screwsinstalled.OEM Harley springer fork with 7/8” stem and big twin rockers(servi-car). The front leg has #20 hallmark. Note:  the front leg has very slight bend in theright tube.  have run this fork onseveral different bikes with no problems, but wanted to make it known (seepic).Original Flanders parts: #8 handlebars (stamped on the underside), risers (stamped), andinline top clamp.   OEM tanks are 47-50 WL. Shift gate is from servi-car.OEM bobbed, 3-piece, wide brace rear fender, which believeis 46-48.Leather Bates style solo seat (possibly Selli?) and genuine Batesleather fender pad.WR foot pegs and clutch pedal attached to OEM straps.  The rear brake is Harley WL.The bike starts easy and runs really well.  It was run at “The Race of Gentlemen” lastOctober at Pismo Beach, CA.  It will makesomebody great C-class or TROG racer, or you could get title and putelectrics on it to make it street legal.See it run on Youtube: https://youtu.be/-OTbf2oVaHkPlease call (no text) 570-956-111eight or emailhutchjr7@hotmail dot com with any questions. Thanks for looking.
