Two years ago while in Pomona, Ca., went to an elderly woman's house to look at a 1930 Ford coupe for sale. Under the tarp next to the car (see photos), found and bought this Knucklehead. She said her deceased husband had bought it over 50 years ago and added the side car some time later.The original California Plate that was on the bike was first registered in 1956 and she said it hadn't run in many years.
She had extra seats, handle bars, and leather bags etc. had the bike serviced by very competent mechanic...it has excellent compression, starts,stops, and runs well. Does not smoke.The mechanic put the old black handlebars, bags, and single seat back on the bike, but all other parts shown are included in the auction.
The old paint looks decent from few feet away but old type of paint that "checks" and visable upon close examination. There is small dent on the oil bag and small dent on the forward part of the right tank...likey dented when installing the side car.The bike will leak oil if not ridden and tends to slowly drift to the right going down the road...likely the front tire needs to be balanced.
Was told there are few items that did not go on '46 Harley like fender tips, muffler, and other chromed items...but other than that, very original dependable bike.

7/25/2016 Questions asked and answered:
1. The carburetor is Linkert M74B which am told is not correct for this bike2. The throttle and distributor hand grip controls work perfectly smooth3. The head light is stamped in the rear and says CycleRay on lens in front..the small black relay box says Delco Remy.4. The black grips say Harley Davidson and are original. The front brake cable is an original Harley Davidson not remade.5. added photo of motor vin number and the numbers on the front cases are the same. You can see one side in one photo...the other side is hard to photograph but the same numbers.6. There has been no welding on the motor mounts or motor anywhere. 7. The front spokes are original cadmium plated so is spare tire.8. The generator works perfectly and does have the original metal tag on the top...Its hard to read.

1. No, not small crack on engine case right side just below rear barrel. No cracks anywhere.2. Did not know the side car body was an Indian but was certain it wasn't Harley.....thanks for the info. have  side car wrenches and installation guide.3. Every bolt you asked me to check was correct original bolts marked CP 1035.  This bike has every original hardware piece and original nuts and bolts. think there is one clip missing for distributor wire.4. All lights and horn work.5. In one photo the right tank emblem look dented...its not.6. The muffler is in excellent condition with no rust at all. Two dents as shown in photo and perfectly stamped "Harley Davidson Motor Company" and Inc. Part. on top.On Jul-25-16 at 17:27:33 PDT, seller added the following information:

The side car is part of the Auction...its Package deal along with all the parts shown on the ground near side car. Should the auction end and reserve not be met, might sell side car and keep the bike for few more years.
