1948 HARLEY-DAVIDSON EASYRIDER CHOPPER MOTORCYCLE
ACTUAL MOTORCYCLE THAT WAS IN THE HARLEY DAVIDSON CAFE ON THE STRIP IN LAS VEGAS, NEVADA AT 3725 SOUTH LAS VEGAS BLVD!
RARE OPPORTUNITY TO OWN PIECE OF LAS VEGAS HISTORY AS THE RESTAURANT CLOSED ITS DOORS FOR GOOD ON OCTOBER 30TH, 2016!
INCLUDED WITH THE SALE IS CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY ALONG WITH TWO HELMETS, AND THE MOTORCYCLE STAND THAT WAS USED TO HOLD THE BIKE UPRIGHT IN THE RESTAURANT.
The Harley Davidson Café was established in 1997, and unfortunately closed its doors for good on late October of 2016. The restaurant was truly one its kind with unique memorabilia, complete motorcycle themed environment, full size wall of the American Flag built from chains, and complete revolving set of different motorcycles that could be viewed from all levels of the restaurant. One of the main focal points was in fact this Easyrider Replica Motorcycle. This actual motorcycle was the one prop that was visible right away when you walked into the restaurant. You could get your photo taken for small price on the motorcycle as many had done over the 19 years it was in their. There was nice metal stand that the bike rested on to keep it upright so anyone could easily sit on it. Also there was metal bracket that bolted to the front fork tube that keep the front end straight and not lean left or right. have that stand and metal bracket and that is included with the sale of the motorcycle. This by far is one of the most accurate and authentic looking ones with many unique and rare parts that simply cannot be found if building one today. The frame is the rigid style all chrome plated, Harley Pan Head Engine with chrome cylinder head casings, Mouse Trap Clutch style assembly, kick starter, drum brake assembly built into the chain sprocket, chrome rear fender and chain sprocket cover, peanut style fuel tank, horn, headlight, hand grips, no front brake, no speedometer, turn signals, primary assembly, oil tank, exhaust system which exists through the front of the frame and flattens out at bottom to exit on the side, truly unique to this chopper, and the list goes on. If you have ever been around lot of these replicas and then look at this one you will see many differences as this one is more accurate and correct.
Once the restaurant announced the closing it listed items in an online auction that ended on Friday and everything had to be picked up that Saturday from am to pm, thusthis did not give anyone time to even consider pickup and there were no exceptions. If not picked up that day after the auction ended, you were out of luck and would have lostyour money from bidding. fortunately had all of the arrangements made if was to purchase and had place to store the motorcycle out there until made arrangements to have it transported back here to Missouri. The motorcycle still is very presentable and the chrome is still nice. There are however few paint chips and flaws visible in the photos due to people sitting on the motorcycle to get their photo on it. Some of the chrome does show few scuff marks as well as their shoes probably rested on those areas when photos were taken. The chrome wheels still look good and tires as well but all are 19 years old. This motorcycle was basically prop and for display purposes only.
The motorcycle could be used for many purposes like it is or eventually get it going down the road at some point. Great to display in your restaurant or bar, casino, man cave, motorcycle shop, museum, or just about anything you could think of. The bike does roll and can easily be transported to just about anywhere.
Please note that this motorcycle under item specifics lists the title status as clear and that is not the case. could only list the item that way and want to make clear that this item is SOLD AS-IS AND ON BILL OF SALE ONLY. This motorcycle was built for display purposes and is in not running condition. As far as know there are no internal engine components with this motorcycle. It was built solely as prop. Mileage is exempt and no title with the motorcycle.
The motorcycle is located in Nixa, Missouri just minutes from the Springfield, Missouri area and only 200 miles from the St. Louis region.
We have the motorcycle in climate controlled environment and can be viewed at most anytime.
Transportation costs are not included with the sale but we will be happy to help and assist with transporter that we have used in the past that specializes in motorcycle enclosed transportation.
