have owned this Duo Glide for years. purchased it from the second owners widow. Before got it it sat in dry shed for about 15 years. It is old repaint. believe the original color was red. After purchase went through it very thoroughly. It still has the fresh from the shed appearance. The list of maintenance/repairs is long. Tires,tubes,clutch,primary chain, and drive chain-and sprockets,fork springs and seals gas and oil tanks cleaned transmission seals, kicker gears. The speedometer was sent to Texas for rebuild. Carburetor was professionally rebuilt. Wheel bearings cleaned and greased. New brake linings. The engine runs strong so did not tear it down. replaced one lifter that did not stay pumped up. Everything works. Wiring is original and in good condition. have put about 1200 miles on it and went on many AMCA road runs. do also have the original black seat. found the white one that is on it now and thought it looks better on the bike.
