HONDA CP77 Version of the CB77 Superhawk with Extras
My good friend says it's time to part company with his Superhawk. Not riding it much anymore, and clearing out some garage space. He bought this motorcycle as an older restoration about 10 years ago from gentleman in Arkansas. Story went that it was purchased in Japan by member of our armed services and shipped to the USA sometime in the 60's. It's CP77 variant which even Bill Silver says is bit mysterious. Differences from the US version include non-folding rider footpegs, different taillight shape, and the speedo in km/hr. Over the years, my friend added the flat handlebars, OEM folding footpegs, and Dunstall replica mufflers that sound great (see video below). Everything in the first picture is included in the sale. The exhaust system is the one installed when he bought it which was one-piece on the right side (OEM Honda, but probably not original to the bike), and the proper header/muffler setup on the left side. Flaws in these are pictured, the flange on the one-piece header is little deformed, but works fine. The original RHS muffler has braze repair. new aftermarket right muffler is also included. As pictured, the original handlebars, footpegs, and cables come with the sale. The mirrors are OEM Honda, but have 10mm stem, tapered down to 8mm which we've never seen before, but you will own them and they may be worth thousands of yen or dollars... Other bits include the original main jets and some original nuts and bolts related to the exhaust and side-stand installation.

This Superhawk presents well, but is not show bike. Please don't expect museum piece. It has been rider for the last ten years. As mentioned, it was an older restoration when my friend took possession, so although nice, most of the paint is likely not original. Chrome is very nice, but again not perfect.
